Subject: DTS has ruined my life!
Dear Premier John Horgan,
Daylight saving time is very bad for the physical health of British Columbians.
In the spring, when clocks leap forward an hour, it makes everyone tired and grumpy.
In the fall, when clocks fall back an hour, many people go drinking and dancing, and they get a hangover and sore knees.
But that’s not all!
A 2001 study found that with the time change in both the spring and fall, there was an increase in the number of traffic accidents.
Case in point: On Monday March 12, after the clocks leaped forward, I was speeding to get to work because I overslept, and I smashed into a garbage truck. I totally destroyed my bicycle!
Now I have to buy a new one, and I don’t have any money!
I overslept because I didn’t set my alarm clock. The annoying buzzing sound gives me a nightmare of the shower scene in Psycho.
Then I wake up, and I can’t fall back asleep!
My biological clock wakes me up an hour before work, but when clocks leap forward, I’m late every day for a month. Unfortunately, I haven’t found an employer who will put up with this, and I always get fired!
Please cancel daylight saving time. If you do, it will help people like me get to work on time.
Sadly, it’s that time of year again when I’m looking for a new job.
Sincerely,
Roger Tuckerman
It is posted! Thank you, Victoria. I will read your book once I get back from holidays.

That would be wonderful, as I link my site to the Amazon.com listing.

Thank you, Victoria! Much appreciated. I see it now. It is on Amazon.co.uk, but not Amazon.com; https://www.amazon.com/Letters-Madman-Christopher-Lindsay-ebook/dp/B07MQQ8RNN/

I don’t know why, but I see my review (5*), it is already there.

Hi Victoria, Any luck? Amazon still hasn’t approved it. The only thing I can think of is for some reason Amazon hasn’t given me a sales ranking yet.

Yes but it wasn’t long. I posted it via app tho. I’ll try via laptop.

Thank you, Victoria. I look forward to reading your review! Perhaps Amazon has a word limit on reviews?

Every year I grumble about the time change – why do we need it, etc. – so I found a kindred spirit in Roger Tuckerman.

You are not alone! That’s how Roger feels too.

The situation changes, we must adjust to it … because we want to keep going to work and getting paid … It is our responsibility to adapt. I have fallen out of bed in the morning flailing frantically to shut up my alarm and felt like death, like a corpse digging up through the earth to find the painful, blinding sunlight, that I may stalk the roads to my damn job. I’ve felt the deathly pain everyone describes and others, on the way to work, have smiled brightly at my passing form to receive only grim half-smiles in return. I must get to work and earn a damn living. It’s MY responsibility to do so.

Amusing post. Daylight savings time is a waste of time.

I used to love the fall time change and I have always hated the spring change. Now both of them are terrible for health and sleep. It’s just crazy. Thanks for writing. God bless!
